The third "Chinese Bridge" World Primary School

On the morning of June 12th local time, the third "Chinese Bridge" World Primary School Chinese Show Competition and the 16th "Chinese Bridge" World Middle School Chinese Competition, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in the Central African Republic and hosted by the Confucius Institute of Bangui University, were grandly held at the University of Bangui. Representatives of the Chinese Embassy in the Central African Republic, principals and vice principals of primary and secondary schools at the Confucius Institute of Banda, as well as representatives of students' parents, representatives of Chinese funded institutions and overseas Chinese stationed in the Central African Republic, as well as teachers and students from the Confucius Institute of Banda, attended the competition on-site.
This year is the first time for the Central African Republic to hold the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Show Competition for World Primary School Students and the Chinese Competition for World Middle School Students, which is of great significance for promoting the development of Chinese language education in primary and secondary schools in the Central African Republic at the Educational stage. The Chinese and foreign presidents of the Confucius Institute at Banda University first delivered a welcoming speech, expressing sincere gratitude and warm welcome to all representatives who attended this Chinese language competition; I express my gratitude to all the participants and their parents in primary and secondary schools for their active participation and careful preparation, and to all the staff of the Confucius Institute, including local Chinese teachers, for their hard work and dedication. Finally, the two deans encouraged the contestants to showcase their best selves and compete at their best level, and hoped that all Chinese learners in China and Africa could "pursue their dreams of Chinese and live up to their youth".
During the primary school Chinese language show competition, five contestants demonstrated their Chinese expression skills during the speech segment. In the subsequent Chinese talent exhibition segment, the contestants each performed their respective strengths. A song called "Grandmother's Penghu Bay" sings the pure fantasy of childhood, a soft brush ink painting brings China's national treasure giant panda to the arena, an impassioned song called "Qinyuan Spring Snow" seems to make the audience see the steadfast man twenty years later, and a song called "White Dragon Horse" sings the great ambition of not fearing difficulties to achieve his ideals, The aria "Liu Da Ge's Speech is too unreasonable" from a Henan opera showcases the charm of Chinese opera culture and expresses the spirit of Chinese and African women who are not inferior to men. The brilliant talent performances of the young contestants all drew enthusiastic applause and cheers from the judges and audience on site.
The Chinese language competition for middle school students is divided into two stages: a keynote speech and a showcase of Chinese talent, mainly examining the contestants' Chinese expression ability and Chinese talent skills. In the keynote speech segment, the contestants elaborated on their understanding of "Pursuing Dreams in Chinese, Not Underlying Youth" from their own perspectives based on their actual situation. They explained their origins with Chinese to the judges and audience in fluent Chinese, expressed their love for Chinese and Chinese culture, and expressed their beautiful wish to use Chinese as a bridge to cross their way to a wider world. In the talent exhibition stage, the contestants have their own unique strengths. The opening climax of the song "Listen to me say thank you" by contestant No. 1, Molly. The catchy lyrics and relaxed melody pushed the atmosphere to the climax, attracting applause from the audience. The talent of No. 2 contestant Ke Xiaobei is Paper Cuttings. A pair of scissors and a piece of red paper show the interesting world and artistic charm of Chinese paper cutting. The third and fourth contestants' collaborative recitation of 'Going to Drink' perfectly interprets the poet's free and unrestrained expression, allowing the audience to appreciate the extraordinary energy of recitation as an artistic form of expression.
