Recently, the closing ceremony for the 2025 Four-Week Training Programme for International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, jointly organized by Bohai University and Moscow State Pedagogical University, was held at Songshan Campus. Representatives from Bohai University's College of International Education and all participants from Moscow State Pedagogical University attended the ceremony.
Since commencement, the programme has strictly adhered to a tripartite curriculum framework of "Chinese language learning + cultural immersion + field studies". It delivered 52 hours of intensive Chinese language instruction covering phonetics, grammar, and conversational practice; organized 20 hours of cultural workshops including calligraphy, tea ceremony, paper-cutting, and Tai Chi; and conducted three cultural field trips to locations such as Bijia Mountain in Jinzhou, the Little Potala Palace at Jiuhua Mountain, and Beidaihe. The programme specially invited inheritors of intangible cultural heritage from western Liaoning to co-teach, ensuring the authenticity and depth of cultural transmission. All participants successfully completed the programme by passing the Chinese Proficiency Test, with the project's implementation model receiving unanimous praise from both teachers and students.
At the closing ceremony, Zhang Cheng, Vice Dean of the College of International Education , stated in his address that this programme represented a significant achievement in deepening cooperation between Bohai University and Moscow State Pedagogical University. It successfully realized three major breakthroughs: innovating a three-dimensional teaching model integrating "language + culture + practice"; establishing a mechanism for in-depth interaction between Chinese and Russian faculty and students; and creating an immersive cultural experience platform. Participants showcased their learning achievements through a soulful recitation of Qingming accompanied by graceful hand gestures, alongside an exotic Russian folk song performance, vividly demonstrating the profound fusion of Chinese and Russian cultures. Student representative Jingyi shared her reflections in fluent Mandarin: "This journey not only enhanced our Chinese proficiency but also deepened our understanding of Chinese culture's profound essence. Bohai University has become our home in China.
The closing ceremony concluded with a moving rendition of the bilingual Chinese-Russian song Friends. Participants unanimously expressed their intention to carry cherished memories and deep friendships back to Russia, becoming youthful ambassadors for Sino-Russian cultural exchange.
Through its systematic curriculum design and diverse cultural exchange activities, this programme has not only opened a window for Russian youth to perceive contemporary China but has also become a new engine propelling Sino-Russian people-to-people exchanges to higher levels. Moving forward, Bohai University will continue to innovate its localized education model for international outreach, contributing the "Bohai University Solution" to Sino-Russian cultural exchange and mutual learning between civilization.
